Future Leaders in Events and Entertainment Fund

The Future Leaders in Events and Entertainment Fundis an initiative of Temple University’s Event Planning Association (EPA), aimed at empowering students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to succeed in the dynamic fields of event planning, hospitality, and tourism. The fund supports students in accessing professional development opportunities, such as conferences, workshops, and networking events, that are crucial for their career growth. These opportunities include attending major industry events like PCMA Convening Leaders, Global Meetings Industry Day, Education Day, and Live Event Day.

The goal is to help students break through financial barriers, allowing them to enhance their professional portfolios and expand their industry networks. Your contributions will go directly toward student registration, lodging, and transportation, providing invaluable experiences that will prepare them to lead the next generation of event professionals.

Mission:

To provide financial support and development opportunities for future event professionals, enabling them to engage in premier industry conferences and educational programs. The fund aims to cultivate a community of leaders who are well-equipped with the experience, knowledge, and connections they need to succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of event management, hospitality, and tourism.

Goals:

  1. Bridge      Financial Gaps: Remove financial obstacles for students wishing to      attend professional development events, ensuring equitable access to      career-advancing opportunities.
  2. Foster      Leadership and Innovation: Empower students to become future leaders      in the events industry by equipping them with essential skills, such as      communication, project management, and creative problem-solving.
  3. Promote      Industry Networking: Connect students with professionals through      hands-on experiences and major industry events like PCMA Convening      Leaders, allowing them to build meaningful relationships.
  4. Encourage      Continuous Learning: Inspire a culture of lifelong learning by      providing opportunities for students to engage in educational seminars,      workshops, and real-world industry experiences.
  5. Expand Professional Horizons: Enable students to broaden their perspectives and understand the global scope of the events industry by attending a diverse range of professional conferences and networking events.
